~Week 4~ Heroes or Villains?
(Dec. 16, 2008 - 4:20pm) -- T-BIF HEADQUARTERS, FORTUNA
 |
| Bocian leads for the 4th week |
Led once again by 2nd round pick Andy Bocian, Team Bif remains undefeated after 4 weeks of play.
Dante Green scored 16 and Walter Thompson provided the decisive 14 Fpts in the win over the struggling Heroes.
 |
| Walter Thompson, 8th round POY candidate! |
The Heroes were led with 14 Fpts by Matt Ibewiro in the hotly contested matchup of veteran franchises.
While the fate of humanity did not rely on the outcome, you could not tell by the resolve of both teams as they traded
blow after blow with a gritty determination reminiscent of the old FGNAC days. Coach Justin commented afterwards on
the amazing display of competitive zeal on both sides of the ball.
"We really weren't prepared to handle this kind of effort by the Heroes. I don't know what would have happened if it weren't
for the Haitian showing up to watch the game! Even with that equalizer, man those Heroes sure don't have any quit in'em!"
 |
| Coach Noah's plans undermined by the unexpected presence of the Haitian |
The Week 13 rematch should be fun to watch. Until then, Team Bif will have the Haitian at Headquarters down on Level 5! ;)

~Week 3~ Bocian steers Team Bif to victory lane!
(Dec. 9, 2008 - 4:20pm) -- T-BIF TRAINING FACILITY, ARCATA
 |
| Bocian leads Team Bif in scoring for the third consecutive week |
Led once again by 2nd round pick Andy Bocian, Team Bif remains undefeated after 3 weeks of play.
Devin Montgomery also poured in 23 Fpts in the lopsided victory.
 |
| Devin Montgomery already paying dividends for T-Bif |
Team NASCAR was led with 18 Fpts by DuBois Williams in the humiliating defeat.
Team Bif fans were jubilant after the game, sending out colored-coded, cheery holiday messages from their mobile devices and
extolling the virtues of their brilliant Coach who once again has shown that Bif-ball has surpassed even Phil Jackson's
triangle scheme for victory on the hardwood.
 |
| Team Bif fan celebrates in his own special way! |
Fans of Team NASCAR on the other hand were left with a numb feeling of disinterest after witnessing for the third consecutive
week what can only be described as "no game". Of course I am referring to Coach Liam (the Silver Mullet), and also
the bricklaying tandem of Kyle Krause and Jamel Ward that round out the bottom of the NASCAR roster. Lucky for this team,
as longs as there is cheap beer, there will be fans in the seats, even if all their players do is run around in circles all night.

~Week 2~ T-Bif rides the Xpress!
(Dec. 3, 2008 - 1:24am) -- T-BIF TRAINING FACILITY, ARCATA
 |
| Andy Bocian leads CCAA with 24.8 PPG |
Led by CCAA Player of the Week Andy Bocian and his 32 Fpts, Team Bif ran it's win streak to two games, backed also by a huge effort
from Dante Green, who stole the show from HSF Xpress's captain, Joe Mitchell in back to back games for CSUMB
over the weekend.
 |
| Coach Gary unsuccessful in his attempt to change the defensive assignment. |
Following his normal routine, Coach Justin drafted appropriately so that he would face his week 2 opponent with only 5 active players,
a surefire method for testing the potency of ones go-to players. And T-Bif's leaders passed the test with flying colors.
"Yearby had an off game, but even on a bad day he'll get you 15 Fpts. Bocian is going to make a lot of teams pay for letting him
slip down to the 2nd round this year, I'm just glad I had the vision that other FCCAA team owners sadly lacked in the draft",
commented Justin, still seemingly distracted by his recent closed-door meeting with T-Bif Media Relations Director, STB.
 |
| Dante Green chips in vs. HSF Xpress |
Channel 69 News: "So Justin, what IS the deal with Shit-Talking Bear this year? Is he in hibernation, or is he still just reeling from
the painful shock of coughing up the coveted championship trophy to Team Bulldog last year?"
Justin: "That (bleep) just needs to get his head in the game! We don't pay him $420K a year to sit around on his god-damned (bleep), pining
about what could have been. We need to get the message out to Team Bulldog and the whole world that Team Bif has moved on and is
ready to smack-talk the (bleep) out of any team that trys to stop us from winning the title this year. I think STB is the kind of
guy that likes to sit back and let his enemies fire the first few shots, let them get a little confidence before he splinter-(bleeps)
their tight little (bleep)"
69: "There you have it folks. Better grab the lube, because Bif-ball could be coming to a town near you!"

~Week 1~ T-Bif victorious in home opener against Dawgs
(Nov. 23, 2008 - 9:23am) -- T-BIF HEADQUARTERS, FORTUNA
"GO START THE BUS!!.....GO START THE BUS!!"
Fans packed the house Saturday night to cheer on the new incarnation of Team Bif as they set forth on their quest for a
second FCCAA title. Standing in the way of that goal as always was Team Bulldog. Well-documented is the rivalry
between these two ballclubs, the most recent jab being Justin's preemptive strike in the draft, nabbing Rodney Yearby one
pick ahead of Chris. Now back to the game...

Led by All-Tournament player Andy Bocian, Team Bif broke the 100 mark in victorious style this week, backed also by strong efforts
from Tournament MVP Rodney Yearby, and 8th round pick Walter Thompson. Rounding out the scoring were Dante Green
and Kyle Baxter, who was witnessed executing soaring alley-oop dunks in Lumberjack Arena.
Featuring a balanced roster from top to bottom, Team Bif has already started preparing for future, dropping Reggie Brown (SB)
in favor of high scoring D-1 transfer Devin Montgomery (SB).
"Just trade Baby! That's the way we roll!", remarked Owner/Coach Justin after the transaction.
T-Bif is regularly the most active trading team in the league, and this year proves to be more of the same.
Having already spent his first two trades, Justin must now resort to rookie and injury trading, which can be more complicated, but
just as rewarding. Some of you may recall the late-season injury-trade acquistions of Dante Green (MB) & Arcenio Ramirez (SF) that
helped propel Team Bif to it's first title in Season III. Although the team has 2 rookies, both are from HSU and have put up decent
numbers for their pick level, so at this point it looks like barring injury, T-Bif's roster should be set for the long haul.

Season V Draft leaves more questions than answers
(Nov. 18, 2008 - 1:16pm) -- T-BIF TRAINING FACILITY, ARCATA
Fantasy CCAA Season V is upon us, and as evidenced by Saturday night's draft, there are many questions to be answered this year.
"All I really want to know is, how much will Team Bulldog be affected by the theft of Captain Chris's coveted Rodney Yearby?",
Coach Justin asked one reporter on the scene. He then added the fear-invoking pontification, "T-Bif has been assembled this year with one goal,
and one goal only, DESTROY TEAM BULLDOG!"
Not suprisingly, the Marauders used their #1 overall pick to select unanimous preseason All-FCCAA, Larry Gordon (CPP).
Stay tuned for in-depth analysis and draft grades for all 10 teams.
