Team Bif loses again, cuts Barnes for attitude problem.
(Feb. 5, 2008 - 1:48pm) -- T-BIF HEADQUARTERS, BLUE LAKE
Still reeling from a week 9 loss to Owen, Team Bif was handed another L by the crosstown
rival Bulldogs. This marks the first time in team history that T-Bif has lost a season series
to the 'Dogs.
"I am extremely dissapointed with our team chemistry right now", remarked Coach J. This week
the league was witness to the source of the cancer in the T-Bif clubhouse. Jamaal Barnes brought
the issues out on the court on Friday night, opening displaying his contempt for superior teammate Will
Sheufelt.
"We at Team Bif believe that (Barnes) was the cause of our struggles as of late, therefore we have
relieved Jamaal of his duties here, and have replaced him with a much more respectable player who will
be a much better fit going down the stretch, Efren Del Rio"
While some analysts may scoff at the statistical discrepancy between these two players, Coach Justin
would argue that every team needs role players and good chemistry to achieve goals, and Del Rio is
a very smart and capable player who will fit nicely into the existing offensive system.
This week also marks the addition of Andrew Ferrin from CSU Chico, who should see his minutes increase
substantially due to the recent chaos of the program, including the cutting of Mike Martin. The price to
Team Bif? Unlimited injury trade, marking the official end of the "Ryan Walton Experiment".
Update: Barnes was subsequently acquired by the morally-defunct Heroes, who have had to deal with the largest
player turnover rate in league history this season.

Team Bif wins 2nd straight, narrowly escapes Beantown!
(Nov. 2, 2007 - 8:14am) -- T-BIF HEADQUARTERS, BLUE LAKE
Facing a stiff test against a highly touted rookie team trying to make a name for itself in the FCCAA, Team Bif
survived a furious second half rally by Liam's Baked Beans to emerge victorious and push it's record to 2-1 on the young
season.
Devin Peal (HSU) lead the charge for the Beans, averaging 22 Fpts. on the weekend, but it was not enough to overcome the
trifecta of 19's by T-Bif's Will Sheufelt (HSU), Justin Argenal (Chico), and Christofer Hart (LA), and the Baked Beans fell to
1-2 as the final buzzer sounded, 79-77 in favor of Team Bif.
The 2-point spread was the narrowest margin of the season so far, and could be a sign that the competition is beginning to even
out as teams balance out their rosters with new additions and scheme up new ways to get revenge on their FCCAA rivals. Trading has
heated up recently due to a few injuries and suspensions, but more commonly players have been dumped due to their extremely lackluster
level of play. This lower echelon of CCAA players was a big reason for the implementation of new trade rules this season, which allow for
more roster flexibilty as the season progresses and shows the true potential of these lower round gems. So far Team Bif has used only
one Freshman Choice trade, acquiring Christofer Hart who has averaged 17 Fpts. per week since his arrival to the team. With 2 Regular Trades
and 1 Freshman Choice trade remaing, Coach Justin is keeping a keen eye on the play of Keith Garner, Ryan Walton, and Blake Saunders (fr).
However, sitting in 2nd place at 2-1, the coach is far from panic mode, and will probably be hanging on to his current roster for at least
2 more weeks before making any moves.
"This team is starting to come together and learn what it takes to win games." "Being chomped by the Bulldogs to start the season was
an unfortunate turn of events, but it has forced us to adjust to what it's going to be like, playing all season with this huge bullseye
painted on our backs." "As returning champions, teams are always going to be bringing their 'A' game, so we have a lot of work ahead of us to repeat
this season." "The Heroes have been trading agressively this last couple of weeks to get ready for us, hopefully we will prevail and keep
pace with those red-hot bulldogs!"

Team Bif hires new Media Relations Director
(Nov. 13, 2007 - 12:15pm) -- T-BIF HEADQUARTERS, BLUE LAKE
Team Bif today has announced the hiring of a crucial ingredient to the success of any sports franchise, the Media Relations Director.
After interviewing a long list of candidates with impeccible resumes and diverse backgrounds, Justin, the intrepid owner of T-Bif
decided to go a whole new direction.
"Thinking outside the box is what got Team Bif to where it is at today, and I will continue to find the brightest talent from
every dark corner of this universe if I have to!" he remarked.
Without further ado, Team Bif presents it's new official spokesperson .... (drum roll) .....
SHIT-TALKIN' BEAR
Upon his hiring, STB had this short prepared speech for the media:
"First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me so that someday I could be in a position like this, to
have the opportunity to share my talents with the world. To the rest of you, (bleepy-bleep, bleepity bleepin bleep-bleeps) you can
(insert long string of bleeps here)"
Formalities having been completed, STB closed the press conference with his first official comments to the public and to the competition.
"Team Bif looks forward to bringing Bif-ball to the next level of refinement for the enjoyment of our fans and supporters. We have
acquired a highly skilled group of performers with either proven track records or lofty potential. We head in to Week 1 fully expecting
that a mere 2 of our players can easily outmatch anything Team Bulldog can bring to the court!"
He then displayed some of the finer qualities that endeared him immediately to the T-Bif ownership.
"Those (bleeping-bleeper-bleepers) are the most worthless collection of (bleep) ever assembled by one (bleep) coach and we will
send them home crying to their (bleeping) mothers like the (bleepies) they are!!"
Well, all in all a successful debut for the Shit-Talkin' Bear! Here's to another beautiful season in the FCCAA!

With the 1st pick in the FCCAA4 draft, Matthew Morgan selects......
D'Shon Cannon?!!.
(Nov. 9, 2007 - 10:44am) -- T-BIF HEADQUARTERS, BLUE LAKE
The sun has risen on yet another beautiful season of FCCAA basketball! A core of dedicated team owners along with
the return of Gordon and the addition of Liam has yielded a 10-team field that should be highly competitive after
last night's successful 8-round draft.
Sentiments ranged from: "I really don't know what the hell I'm doing, I just hope I get a win somewhere down the road!" (Liam) to
"Justin, you are going down!!" (Everyone)
Highlighting the first round was the #1 overall selection of D'Shon Cannon of CSU Monterey Bay. Many experts felt that Augie Johnston,
selected #3 by Jack would be the top scorer for CSUMB this year in the absense of Richard Jenkins. The #2 and #4 picks
were from Humboldt State, Devin Peal to Liam and Will Sheufelt to Justin
Some of the more interesting picks to keep track of as the season progresses:
Matt's pick of D'Shon Cannon the #1 overall pick
Gary's pick of Rick "The Rat" Cardoso in the 1st round
Sara's pick of Dejon Prejean in the 2nd round
Time will tell, but this could be the most debatable first round order ever drafted by the league, condidering the past availability
of clear-cut #1 overall choices like Brad Oleson, Grant Dykstra, & Kevin Johnson.
Team Bif drafted well from the #4 spot, Coach Justin remarked,
"With General Sheufelt leading this team, it doesn't matter who we play. So long as we play our style of basketball, Bif-ball as we like
to call it, we are going to be a scary opponent for anyone this year."

Amazing new website unveiled!
(Sept. 21, 2007 - 12:31am) -- T-BIF HEADQUARTERS, BLUE LAKE
Battling a brutal case of insomnia, Team Bif General Manager Justin decided it was time for a well-earned facelift for the
Official T-Bif Website.
"The new site is so laden with self-glorification and images of the championship trophy, hopefully it will deter anyone from
visiting more than once! I am pretty sure people are sick of hearing about last year's championship run, so I figured it was the perfect way to keep
the competition away from the valuable resources contained on the site."
Vistitors may notice a keen resemblance to the FCCAA.net website created by Justin last year and
hosted by Chris of Team Bulldog. The Team Bif site features some significant changes which also make the site easier to
view and navigate on monitors of all sizes and resolutions. Handy features include the season standings and links to all popular FCCAA
links from the sidebar and from the bottom of each page.
"I would like to extend congratulations to myself for this grand accomplishment, and to my competition I leave you with these pearls from Rocky IV:
I MUST BREAK YOU.
I DEFEAT ALL MAN!
Capt. Ivan Drago
